They look like the E-body Barracuda reproductions you can get new. If so they do not quite fit the door curve as well as original Challenger handles.

I think I am also correct to say they should be painted flat (matt) black in the finger opening??

It would be cool if you did list the products used to get that grille like that. I certainly would be interested because mine looks terrible compared to that. :blushes:

Hi dave here is a list and pics of the products we used on the grill. Sorry it took so long.We had a argent grill and used an auto paint striper. And then drilled out all the rivets ,take the egg creat and soak it in Alum-brite HD.make sure you do not leave it on to long .rinse water repeat if needed the alum brite will foam on the grill . A lot of truckers use it on alum gas tanks on there trucks. The rivets you can get from petes Restoration see pics .The paint is from penstar reporductions hope this helps. Steve

Hey Gord: Thanks for asking! Here are our most recent shots I have. Steering column went in last Wednesday, shifter linkage and kick-down linkage went in today. I picked up some more peices of the puzzle from Glenn yesterday. It's starting to look like a car.

Hi Gord, thanks, the car is almost done, just a few small things to do .We still have to start it .Dave said Glenn is working on the HEMI car. I can't wait to see that one done .

Chirster, I am not sure of the #'s on column shift cars in R/T's but I think it's pretty rare .This is the only column shift car in this color combo .

Usually you got a column shift if you ordered a bench seat. Which is why a bench seat was extra cost. You do see the occasional R/T (all models) with a column shift but it is very rare.

It is called a bumble bee stripe and it was a no charge extra on the R/T. Dodges performance cars were part of the "Scat Pack" who's symbol was the "Super Bee".

Details of the stripe are possible already on here in the bodywork section. Try the search facility. It might turn up that way.

Why am I doing this? :disbelief: :hmmm: They will never learn to use the search feature if I keep on doing it? Stupid me! :s022: :D

Actually there is a few topics covering that. Including one that mentions a painting template kit from year one.

Oh and yes. I would say that looks like Sublime paint. :wink2:
