I recently received a 9 page letter from the original owner. The car was ordered and raced by Wayne Warner. His car was sponsored by Vissings Dodge. Here's some interesting points Wayne included in his letter.

- Car ran SS/DA in late 1970 thru 1971 in NHRA Div 3

- With slicks at 3psi screwed into the rims and other modifications it ran 11.0's to 11 teens at 118-119mph

-Raced against several Sox & Martin prepped cars and Bob Gliddens super stock Mustang

I have NHRA going through what little records they have available to see what info they may have. Just an update. Patrick

Patrick, incredible car. Nice one.

Whereabouts are you in New York? I'm hoping make a trip over to New York before too long. I've only ever seen one Challenger (now itching for more!) and I've never seen a Hemi.

Anyway, awesome machine and cheers for sharing it with us,
G.

I'm north of New York City by 75 miles. Would welcome you to come by and see the car. 2 hour ride at most from N.Y.C. airports. Patrick

Wish I had known about you and your car a couple of months ago - I was in NYC and actively looking for fellow challenger owners to meet and catch up with. Oh well - maybe next time eh?
Kinda makes my JH23 with 318, 904 auto & bench seat look like a girl's car - still, I love her all the same. Have to agree with the other comments - you're one lucky sonnovabitch mate and I'm green with envy!

And I got a train from Grand Central up to Poughkeepsie just 18 months ago. But you didn't have the car then!

Poughkeepsie is just 10 minutes away. Maybe next time. Patrick

Patrick,

Hopefully, all going well, I should be over in New York in September. I'll get in touch nearer the time so I can shoot up and check out the machine :-)

Cheers,
G.

Just a little update! The car is on a waiting list for a full restoration starting in about 2 years. I found out Rick Ehrenberg, the tech writer for Mopar Action lives 20 minutes from me. He hooked me up on the restoration. Once the car is done, he wants to do a feature on the car for the magazine. He had a hard time believing the car came from the factory this way. Once he saw it, he was quite shocked. Thanks, Patrick

P.S. Dave I still want the radio. Private E-mail and let me know what you think is fair. I'm having a hard time finding out.

Tell Rick the 12" disc brakes he sold me for my Chally work fine.
