I wanted to share with you guys some pictures of a car I bought a couple weeks ago. I wasn't even looking for another challenger. I already have two project in work. A 71 convertible 340 4 speed and a 70 r/t plum crazy hemi clone. But this deal I only could dream of. I was looking up parts on the internet and out jumped an ad for a 71 challenger r/t 383 complete $2500 firm. I thought the car must be in pretty bad shape for a complete number matching r/t for $2500. I called the guy because I needed a good parts car with rally hood & dash and a 383 would be a good start til I can afford to build my hemi. The guy said he would e-mail me pictures and I could not believe it. Still thinking I would part it out I immediatly sent him a deposit on paypal and later that week went 650 miles to virginia from Georgia to get it. Owner said it needed a drivers side frame rail. He stopped driving it three years ago. When I got home I couldn't wait to start it. I charged the battery primed the oil system and it fired right up. The car is complete and everything works. I am in the process of replacing the roof right now. And will replace the frame rail in a couple weeks. Some new paint, seat covers carpet and suspension bushing and I'm driving a pretty cool car. I won't be parting this one out.

OK, now with all the superlatives, how'd ya do it? What is picturetrail.com all about?

Great cars! (and your girls are cute like mine!)

Good find Dan. You've certainly got a job on your hands. Nicely optioned car at a great price too.
I liked the dash-mat and would love to get one for my chally - are they readily available over there (moulded to suit the dash)? My dash is perfect and I want to keep it this way, but cannot find a dash-mat here to suit. Also looking for a set of seat-belts (3) for the rear - have you any spares (in black)?

Roger, I will try to see who makes that dash pad for you. Also I do have a complete set of black seat belts from a 70 challenger. Let me dig them up and get you a picture. Also I have some other parts if there is anything else you are missing.

After what Jeff said I had to look at your girls too. Man it pulled my heart strings! I wish I could have had kids like that.

However I am not going to say anything about THIS one! Image
