I would like to know the order in which the finish coat was applied to your car. I notice the is some taping of of some compartments. I am not a rotisery restorer but I always have a problem when in come to paint. Leave the doors, trunk, hood on or do them seperate. Any help would be appreciated. Again, a lovely car.

The order in which the shell was painted was :

1. Interior floor pans/firewall section and trunk interior. Mask off all holes from exterior side and areas where overspray could get onto the body panels.
2. Underside and engine bay. Mask off holes from interior side and all body panels.
3. Exterior shell. Mask off as much as possible to prevent overspray from getting on painted areas.
4. Doors, Fenders, Trunk lid were all done separately from the body.

The body/paint guy that did the work is very experienced so when he said it would be ok to paint the car in sections I had no worries about the paint laying down differently.
