Hi , I hope this comes out better than my previous attemp at placing a photo. I very much enjoy my car, but am a bit unsure what I should do in the long run. Its not # matching anymore, but has correct year 383 engine, is completely straight and rustfree, 75 000 miles.Was a citron yella , but had a complete respray in early ' 80's

Do they appear in the preview? If you cannot see them in the preview they have not loaded. When they do not load there should be a message in the preview to say why?

Which method are you using? Are you writing the image codes long hand or using the "Upload attachment" button?

Hi Dave, they don't appear in preview, I use Upload att. button. I'll try again and make sure its in the preview, my comp. skills are not to good, thanks for the help

Make sure the file size is below the 50k limit. There are full instructions in the test area. In fact you should be experimenting in there and not here really. But please keep trying.

Here is another tip for you. Hit the return button on your keyboard after every image code. That way the images will apear one under the other as I have done by editing your post. That way the page is not too wide to see everything on the screen.

It looks like a very nice example of a '71 convertible you have got there. The engine bay looks good!

I LOVE a Challenger convertible, especially in red! What a car! What are the details? There used to be a red 383 in Cincinnati year ago just like mine (and this one) but it had a white top black interior or reverse (it was so many years ago). Give us the story of how you got it, what's been done to it and so on. More pictures would also be nice as it's such a sweet ride!

When was it built? I ask because I want to know how late they were built in 1971, and mine was built in May as was Rod's (I think).

It's so fun to see what's like my car without the chrome wheel lip molding and without the body side molding. Yet yours has hood pins and the chrome right mirror and flip top gas cap. What other fun options does your sport?

Hi, thanks for the kind words. A brief history: the car was sold new in Johannesburg South Africa, 1st registration was Jan 1972, I have those documents. Had 2 owners, then a friend of mine bought it early 90's was put in storage, never used , untill I bought it from him last year.71 000miles, totally rustfree, dry state, never been in accident. Colour change was done late 80's from citron yella to red. Interior al original, carpets , seats etc, has a/c, rallye dash, R/T suspension, spacesaver, but a flat hood for some reason. hoodpins were also original.
I am still trying to get more history,but is a bit difficult from here.
The car was shipped from Cape Town to Norfolk (UK), took about 7 weeks, we opened the container, It started very easy, and i drove it home, no problems.
( my winterproject is the 'Cuda, 383 4 speed)

Excellent info, Roel. I enjoyed the extra pictures! Factory air was rare in these birds, but the flat hood was not. I can assure you that before my hood was switched to the Shaker with the pins I could watch the corners jump up and down the higher the speed, so they are extremely functional.

Very interesting history. I didn't know where in the world literally you lived. This Message Board is better that a geography quiz!

Do you have the badges missing from the fenders? Great car, Roel!
