My experience with a 1970 Challenger...

I was a Plymouth fan (had a '69 electric blue Fury work car and a 1970 Custom Suburban sw with a 383 4bbl - we had three daughters). We entered a sports car rally with it. There we are with this huge sw, two kids, and an 8 month pregnant wife among these MGs, Triumphs, Corvettes, etc. We came in THIRD! Just used the bezel on my dive watch. I also drag raced with it.
You'd be surprised how much dive eqp. you can get in one of those big old sws.
We kept that sw seven years. 10mpg in town and 15 on the hiway.
Then I had a 1972 brown Fury work car that looked like the state police cars. More fun.
Anyway my wonderful dealer had sold a 1970 Challenger RT in orange with a 440 six-pack. The speedo did not work. They asked if I wanted to drive it until the new one came in. I sure did!
I had more fun with it. It was just about as fast as the hemi and I tore up the roads.
A few days later I had to take it back.
The sad part is that the kid who bought it totaled it about 4 months later - could not handle the power.
I'm just rambling on about good old memories with my Mopars.
