I just picked up a project car from a mate on our UK Mopar site, the MMA, it's a roller, got a 4 speed for it and all the glass and trim is there, not much interior tho, door cards and front seats missing, was very cheap tho
Pix very soon promise

I hope the back window is in good shape. That can't be cheap to replace.

I bummed around as a teenager with a guy who had several '60s Cudas over the years, '65 '68' 67. They were fun cars.
I remember shooting out the back window of one of them while following him one day :s004:

Very Cool project Adrian! I have very fond memories of my time in the 1970's cruising my 1973 RoadRunner with my friend who had a '65' Barracuda, he also has a wicked 273 4 barrel in it and actually won a few times especially from stop light to stop light. Those cars are light and fun!

Lookin forward to starting on it, got a 4 speed to go in, was a manual car anyway, get the suspension and running gear updated and paint the shell.
Want to drop in a modern powerplant, maybe a late roller Magnum motor like the 360 in my Ramvan, if that got let loose in a light little car would be a hoot

That sounds like a great plan Ade, those Magnums are nice and torquey and can be built on the cheap. 350 HP and almost 400 Ft. lbs from a factory stock engine with a mild cam, nice clutch, in that 'cuda' would be a stoplight monster! Keep us posted!!! :s017: Magnum under Glass!! :D

Me :s014: a redneck? I'll have you know that of my vehicles that don't run, none are on cinder blocks!!!
My '99 1500 is on it's own wheels, the '85 streetported RX-7 is on jackstands, the Z is on it's wheels (thinking of junking it), the een: Challenger is in line to get back in runnung condition and the Ramcharger is on a trailer (awaiting carb work). At least my '00 Corolla is running
For redneck you'll have to contact Eddie :s003: I'm what's known as a good ole boy!

Actually my buddy claims I do  but the sides aren't cut short like a mullet. Plus my sideburns aren't long enough. If you want to see a great mullet, check out desert racer "Pistol" Pete Sohren at about 30 seconds or so http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qeqRQ-_N ... detailpage This guy definitely speaks his mind. He's well known on my desert racing forums :s004:
But I do like rowdy country music :s002: Have Confederate Railroad in the CD in the Toyota right now.

Sounds like a plan. Should be fun to drive! I almost brought a 67 Barracuda with a 273 in it a few years ago. An early Barracuda is still on the wish list but I am running out of shed space here!
Do you need engineering approvals to get a classic car registered with a modern engine in the UK? It can be a real bugger trying to get that sort of thing certified in Australia.

Have you got anymore pics?

What are you going to do to repair the chassis Ade? I heard it was pretty rotten in the front section??

The front legs are rotten just on the inside near where the K member bolts on, rest is pretty good according to Ivor.
I'll get a fabricator and welder mate of mine, same guy who repaired my Challys K member earlier on this year, to do it for me and go over the rest of the shell
If it turns out ok then I'll get it into paint as soon as I can, get the shell back home and start on the drivetrain :D

The excitement of the Nats had me whipping out me spammers today...... hood off, doors off, trunk off :D
Steering column and dash out next week and then off with the K member and the axle.
Just a case of finishing the brackets for the rotisserie then and starting to strip all the shit off from underneath

Here's a closer shot of it....... the pass side motor mount bravket has been torched off but the rest looks ok.
I still might shove a Schwartz rolling chassis under it yet

Sweet! Schwartz Chassis Huh,,,big bucks! 70-74 E bodies and B-Bodies,,no early a-bodies listed but with enough cash anythings possible  I would opt for a RMS front chassis with a front rack,,rear would be a 8.75 with True-trac,,build a Rally car outta it!

One of our Mopar club members over here installed an AlterKtion front subframe under an early A body.
I think I'm going to have to use some sort of aftermarket subframe or K member to take the modern motor and brakes.
Shipped over here those Schwartz chassis aren't really anymore expensive than a RMS front and rear set up.
Plus the floor is perfectly braced.
