VERY VERY nice! A lightweight A-Body is a fun ride! Congrats Jeff! Those 380/360 5.9 magnum crates are a powerhouse engine. They have always made more than the reported 380 H.P. rating! A 12 second ride I'm sure! I have one in my W-150 4x4 Dodge truck. It's been faithful for 10 years. No problems ever!

I think the 390 H.P. version has the big valve 2.02 heads. It will say R/T cast into the head near the outer bolts towards the front of the casting.

You mean did they make a 380 horse and a 390 horse the same year? I think they did for while. Just look on the passenger side of the block, it should have MP part number on it somewhere. Then just match that number to the various MP parts catalogs on the crates available. Either way that engine doesnt disappoint for how little they cost and how easy they are to setup out of the box.
