Thanks Pat. Ajax, the white one, was 12 in August and she's lovely. Herman has just turned 2. He was a rescue dog from Dogs Trust in Shropshire and he's been with us for just over a year now. I love 'em

Clean and healthy, well healthy anyway. I'm not sure about the clean bit. Boxers tend to slobber everywhere and my mates are no exception. Dragged mud from the garden all through the living room yesterday. I could hear wife Carol screaming while I stayed safely under my car

Ajax suffered a bad stroke Easter Sunday night thats left her a bit wobbly and confused but the outlook for recovery is very good and she is trying so hard
She takes it in her stride and Carol and I are nervous wrecks
Pets eh? !!!

Yeah it is common. It effects their inner ear. Makes them feel like everything is spinning. But it gets better. Don't worry.

Well, little Ajax is about 14 and a half now and has had some major problems this year ,including having to have a feedin tube fitted to her stomach, and she's just given us a good Christmas and New Year but sadly things look to have finally caught up with her, this dog can fight for it's health like no animal I've ever seen before but even she can't postpone the inevitable for much longer.
I give it a couple of weeks really, let you know how she gets on

Sadly I have to tell you that Ajax passed away this evening, it was quick and peaceful, brought on by a minor stroke, it lasted no more than a few minutes.
We will miss her loads, she was just a couple of months short of her 15 th birthday which is nothing short of amazing for a boxer.
Carol is a mess, she takes these moments very hard, I am not quite so sad cos i am eternally grateful for the fun , affection and love that little white bruiser gave me, it was a privelage to have her in our lives, a little chapter that is sadly over, life goes on, I still have to Herman to love:wink:
