We're dogsitting for one of my wifes work partners. It's another 6 month old Black Lab named "Rosie". Ryley isn't very impressed with my wifes, decision.

Ryley says, "What did you bring in this house!!!!"
100_0536.jpg
Rosie is bringing out the puppy in Ryley.

Now she's irritating him.
100_0525.jpg
That puppy is starting to make Ryley a little winded. The old man kind of resembles a bear.

All played out.

My Billy gets fed up with puppies really quickly.

He hits them with a paw and growls when they get too annoying.

It is great having a puppy in the house though isn't it? You just cannot stop watching and playing with them. It is no wonder older dogs get fed up with all the attention puppies get. :)

It is really fun having a puppy in the house. Although never house broken, she may very well be by the end of the weekend. She's very sneeky when she goes potty, in the house. I catch her in the act. Rub her nose in it. Shove her outside saying, "Bad Dog!" Enough of that.
I love black labs. I love puppies. I like Rosie. We only have one more week to go. Guy's, things like this make you miss your kids! :) I really like this dog but, I wouldn't advise dogsitting one at this age and, for two weeks. We have taught her a lot and we love her. Next Thursday, we give her back. :tears:
Ryley is getting a little grumpy about Rosie but, he really loves her, too!

You'll have a lot of fun with her. She will be testing the patience of your other dogs. We're going to get another one soon. They take a lot of time, to make happy and to become dissaplinned. I don't mind the stay too much, I just wished I was putting my time into my own puppy. :)

Ryley has been a little sick, for the last few weeks. His Lymphnodes are very swollen in his neck and, in other areas about him. He's being taken care of at my sister In-Laws, Veterinary Clinic. Kim and I are hopefull but, a little scared about this. I'll chime in, when we get the test results.

Well that's f--king it! I found out today that Ryley might have another six months to live. He is positive for Lymphoma(CANCER). 3rd stage. I'm heart broken and, a bit of a baby right now. That's it for now.

That's very sad news Pat, can they give chemotherapy treatment in this case?
Our boxer dog Pebble, the sister to Ajax, had the same thing diagnosed following a removal of her spleen, the drug gave her another 7 months of a full and active life instead of the estimated 8 to12 weeks.
I had a hard time convincing Carol to enjoy her time left with her instead of wasting time grieving, but everybody deals with this stuff in their own way, make sure you enjoy what you got Pat

Thanks guy's! I'm done sniveling for now. It was quite a shock for me and my wife. She is not dealing with this, very well at all. I talked to the people I got Ryley from last night. He is one of fifteen siblings and, all are doing very well, including the his parents. I guess, he just got dealt a bad hand in this card game of life. I still have hope for the boy, I'm praying that there could be a mistake in the test. All in all, he is in good health. I will cherish every day that we have him. :) Now, I just have to comfort Kim. She was very displeased when I surprised her with a new puppy,"Ryley". Now, she can't imagine life without him.

Thanks to everybody, for the well wishes. I appreciate all of you! I'll let you know how everything goes. Chemotheropy is out. I'm afraid it will just make him sicker. The swollen gland's in his neck have dissappeared and he is all spunky again... for now. I know, I will have many more great days with my buddy before he feels bad again. The prednisone is working. :s017:

Ryley is gone now. :( Thanks again for all of your kind comments. Haven't been on here much this summer but, had a really good one. With Ryley and yes, the Challenger. He finally lost his battle with Lymphoma last night. He couldn't take the pain anymore so, he asked if his Aunty Tracy would come to the house and give him his final nap. R.I.P. Buddy! Here are some pictures of one of Ryleys great trips into the mountains. He had a great time there this summer.
