Posted: 14 Jul 2009 11:30alot of safety equipment, air bags etc.bigger wheels, electronics, bigger frame, and yes a larger body and probably some other things i dont know about, but from what people say the car rides nice and smooth, i hope to drive one some day and find out that is if some one will let me drive itJon wrote:Both cars looks sweet there Drew.
Any ideas where they gained so much tonnage on these new beasts. Can't be just the taller sheetmetal?

Posted: 14 Jul 2009 15:25The wiring alone weighs 200-300 pounds and is the third heaviest component on the car. Until they convert to CAN wiring like a Mercedes or Audi it along with accessories bog it down. But yeah it's a big car! I still love em though, and that 6.1 is a whole nuther animal Drew! I dont think it's possible but a 6.1/ auto trannny, 'stripper' would be the way to go for a drag car kinda like the body in white S.S. they are/were building.drewcrane wrote:alot of safety equipment, air bags etc.bigger wheels, electronics, bigger frame, and yes a larger body and probably some other things i dont know about, but from what people say the car rides nice and smooth, i hope to drive one some day and find out that is if some one will let me drive itJon wrote:Both cars looks sweet there Drew.
