Yep,,2015 HellCat,,,Sublime,,8-Speed TorqueFlite, can you guys believe I ordered a Auto Trans? In my opinion,,a modern solenoid shifted PCM controlled auto trans is hard to beat,,with 8 forward speeds,,it's impossible to beat! The only options were the Hood Colour,(I got Black),,the tires,(I got the upgraded tires,,600 additional),,the Interior,(I got the fancy upgraded Leather with SRT badging and exposed stitching I think it's called Nappa Leather 1300 additional), SRT cars come loaded so I got everything! We couldn't find the SunRoof option,,but my dealer thinks the interior upgrade includes this,,,not a deal breaker if it doesn't come with it. 67,500 out the door. NO MARKUP or GOUGING as rumored by the Fiat/Chrysler Haters. My Dealer doesn't and has never done that. When it starts to get built,,SRT will contact me with updates. My dealer is guaranteed 2 HellCats,,1 for me the other for my Vet who takes care of my Dogs and other Pets  I will post pics when the "Blessed Event" happens.

Sounds wicked Edd bet you can't wait now eh?
I think I'd still go for a manual box even at the cost of a couple of tenths on the quarter.
I just love ramming home them cogs with a pistol grip

I hear ya Ade! :D I went back and forth on the trans selection,, I decided,,my 70 and 72 are both manuals,,my Dodge 4X4 Cummins Diesel is also a manual. I guess I'm getting older,,the thought of a paddle shifted 8-Speed,(In track mode), is to hard to resist ,,I also remember Fabian saying a manual gearbox on a tight roadcourse is basically useless. Fabian also commented a different car with a paddle shifted auto was killing everyone  I haven't seen any testing with a manual HellCat and all the SRT engineers commented the 8-speed was the way to go. It made my decision easy. Oh yeah almost forgot,,Drew was the biggest factor in helping me decide,,and he doesn't even know it! When we drove Drew's 70 with beefed 727,,it was an incredible experience. That R/T of his shifted quick and hard,,and Drew never missed a beat in the tight corners and it handled like on rails. Thanks Drew! :D

Yea wait till you get a hold of the 8 speed torque flight ,and the paddle shifters, I have the 5 speed in the new chally ,and it shifts like a fine tuned clock, super fast and smooth at the same time, truly amazing.and I did test drive the 6 speed, I am to old to try to shift that fast with a clutch, I struggle with a 4 speed , until I get some reps under my belt it takes a few laps

Eddie you are a devil. :D

I would be happy with the normal 2015 R/T with shaker hood. Don't they do a version with around 450hp or something now? That would do me.

Yes Dave,,I am a little devil  The Challengers have really raised the 'Bar' with new interiors,,new lighter chassis components, and subtle yet exciting body changes. The HellCat was too hard to resist Dave,,I don't even think about Vipers anymore!

I think I agree with you Eddie about the auto. The new ones are amazing. My truck and my DD are both five speeds. There are times though when I wish my DD or truck was an auto (traffic jams are a pain)

Here is the best tech vid I've seen by an impartial 3rd party source,,,looks like SRT/Dodge/Fiat lied,,,the HellCat made 671RWHP,,,this means it might be putting out way more then the advertised 707. With good fuel,,cool air,,my guess is 740 maybe more Kowalski! https://www.youtube.com/v/_BZOcxQQC2M Holy frijoles! 671 X 1.15= 771 HP! That cant be right? Most chassis dyno's have an approx. correction factor of 15%

Just saw this on Japolink http://jalopnik.com/source-hellcat-dyno ... 1634869860
How Much Hellcat Power To Expect1

Our nameless insider tells us that the 707 HP number is not just conservative, but he's not really sure where it came from in the first place. It's a nice palindromic number with some sevens bookending it, so I wouldn't be surprised if the marketing team just picked it. Other dyno tests seem to peg the output around 720 HP, and our source confirms that, at the wheels, the average buyer should likely expect something in the 630 HP range. Which should be plenty.

There's some really interesting technical details here as well: the source claims Chrysler has been testing the Hellcat engine with a Mazda MAF (mass air flow) sensor and a wideband O2 sensor, neither of which have been used by Chrysler. Chrysler uses a MAP (manifold absolute pressure) sensor to figure out the density of air coming into the engine, but it appears that the Hellcat is being used as a testbed for future Chrysler use of MAF-based systems.
Source: Hellcat Dyno'd Up To 825 HP But May Have Emission IssuesExpand

The testing may be related to the difficulties our source reported regarding getting the engine to meet emissions requirements while putting out 707 HP. Our source said there were "extreme issues" meeting the emission requirements, so it should be interesting to see how this gets solved when the first customer cars are finally delivered.

It's just the start....... these engines are making headlines like no ones business, this will be a game changer just like the original 426 Hemi
I'm pretty sure that Chrysler R&D will have leaked early tech info to the entire aftermarket parts industry, who almost certainly will have outputs approaching 800 gee gees by the end of the year
