Of course Fiat have still got time to try and squeeze a bit more power out of it. And of course the Challenger is probably about 50% heavier than the Corvette.....

50% HEAVIER ?? FIFTY?? no way ,the Fiat challys are heavy but not that much ,I dont know the current weight of the Vetty but these modern dude tip the scales at 4200 lbs, so the Muzzie will be faster and better , but still not look as good

From a Fiat site:
2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat
BASE PRICE $60,990
VEHICLE LAYOUT Front-engine, RWD, 5-pass, 2-door coupe
ENGINE 6.2L/707-hp/650-lb-ft s'charged, OHV 16-valve V-8
TRANSMISSION 6-speed manual; 8-speed auto
CURB WEIGHT 4200-4400 lb (mfr est)
WHEELBASE 116.2 in
LENGTH X WIDTH X HEIGHT 197.9 x 75.7 x 55.7 in
0-60 MPH 3.9-4.5 sec (MT est)
EPA CITY/HWY FUEL ECON Not yet rated
ON SALE IN U.S. Third Quarter 2014

From a Vette site:
The total estimated weight of the Corvette C7 coup without the Z51 package was confirmed this week by Chevrolet to be 3,298 pounds (1,496 kg), that is 90 pounds (41 kg) heavier than the standard 2013 Corvette C6 coupe's curb weight. Weight additions in the Z51 performance package are not yet confirmed, but have been estimated at between 150 and 200 pounds on top of it all.%

All in all I get that the Fiat is less than 33% (roughly) heavier compared to the Vette. (I can not explain where the remaining 17% are. :s005: )

On a shitty paved road the extra weight of the Hellcat (see we don't even call it a Chally anymore?!) won't harm it, in fact it'll help get the piwer down over a lighter, peakier car

11,s if you ask me. :s007:

(The 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat is the fastest muscle car ever with a National Hot Rod Association-certified ¼-mile elapsed time of 11.2 seconds at 125 miles per hour (mph) with stock Pirelli P275/40ZR20 P Zero tires. With drag radials, the run dropped to just 10.8 seconds at 126 mph!)

If every member of this board would be driving Challengers, then we would not run into discussions like this. :s003:

I guess the 11.2 time is with an expert driver during perfect conditions? That is how they use to do it, I guess?

Yeah I agree. There are far to many that have not been driven for years and years. Isn't that right Christer? :s003:
