The large diameter Rallye wheels look really crap. It just does not work.

I'm afraid i have to agree. My unwanted 2c worth of opinion is that I think anything over 16" on these old girls look a bit out of character. No denying the performance (handling) and light weight advantages though.

I liked learning French but when you have to decide what subjects to do when you turned 14, I found French clashed with one of the other subjects I wanted to take (Chemistry I think?) so had to drop it.

I think they teach kids languages better and start them younger in many schools here now. But my generation are famous for not being able to speak anything other than English which is a handycap when living in Europe.

Learning Spanish is almost a requirement in my area. English is taught also to the immigrant population but they don't use it around family or friends much. (Or when making comments about us :s008: ).

Maybe it's the 15" ralleys that max out at 235 in front? I think anything larger in 60 series would rub. :| As for the soilers are the 71 chin type functional at all?

Car looks fab Roland, everything looks just so right

I didn't buy the expensive ones from WheelVintique
I have the AR500 from American Racing

I really like Magnums, and this seems for me the perfect combination of vintage looks and modern handling.

You cannot go bigger than 235/60 on a 15 inch wheel in anything over 7 inches wide at the front without some cutting.

I used to have 245/60 tyres on my original 14x5.5 Rallye wheels and they were OK.
Going to 245/60 on a 15x8 wheel required work with the angle grinder and cutting disc.

light weight advantages though , in some cases it actually adds weight putting a larger wheel, and yes some 16, or 17 inch wheels dont look right but some do look very nice on the car

Original Challengers look OK with up to 17 inch wheels. It when you get to 18 and (God forbid) larger that they look bleeding stupid.

Case in point. Modern Challenger wheels on a '70.

Although they don't look half as bad in the photo as they did in real life.

That Chally is just too low, add about 1-1/2" and it wound be acceptable IMO. The body and finish are top notch though.

That other one looks like a 1800's Conestoga wagon.

I don't mind that Hot Wheels toy car look but I like to see some body mods that help it along a bit. I remember seeing a silver 'Cuda on t.v. a couple of years ago that had been treated to a lot of panel massaging to make everything more in proportion. That paint is stunning though.

Mine are bigger and 99% no problems. I have 255/60 on 8"wide 15" rims. The only time they make their presence felt is as i mentioned before, when i am reversing and the wheels are turned a fair amount, the chunky tread on the edge just nicks the wheel arch aluminium molding. Strange that you had problems. Maybe my offset is different? Or maybe mine really are 7s when i was led to believe they were 8s. I'll have to check them now. :s005:
