Thank's, Barry! That was some very cool information. Concept car's are really cool. It's alway's interesting to see the concept, then see the final product. They were all pretty neat but, I'll take a Falcon, or the lost Norseman any day. Thank's again, Pat

Hey Christer, I think Joe Bortz? owns that very car! I think I remember him buying it a few yearsback in an auction house for the wealthy. It had the engine missing and he wanted a pre-production Hemi,(1964), to power it as the original designers had intended.

Thanks Eddie! He is not familiar to me but I am sure you are right.

The Hemi engines are quite sought after :s023: so I am not surprised that it is gone. I hope he finds a replacement Hemi.

Quite recently a set of "Drag mags" were sold. The seller claimed that these are "FACTORY VINTAGE RACING RIMS FROM CHRYSLER CALLED DRAG MAGS". I do not think that is true, or is it? Anyway they look quite similar to the mags on the concept car above.

IIRC that concept car was called the Hemi-Charger. It looks like it has hubcaps on it also.
I remember reading the history of the car. As Eddie states, it was supposedto have a Hemi in it but one could not be procured in time so a 383 (or 440?) was installed upon the car's introduction. They couldn't get a Hemi as the Nascar teams got priority on the engines. That plus the fact that the Hemis were rushed to development very quickly.
They never raised the hood in public when the big block ws installed. They eventually instaalled a Hemi and showed it then with the hood up.

Here's some photos and an article of the Charger http://www.conceptcarz.com/vehicle/z885 ... ncept.aspx This appears to be a pretty cool site, lots of concept cars from around the world, of all eras http://www.conceptcarz.com/
Unfortunately, the Bortz Auto Collection site is currently under construction.
Here's some photos of Mopar concept cars http://www.conceptcarposter.com/chrysler.htm
