Man, you ALL have some nice cars! Wow, Barc,, I am always impressed with your collection. DREW and the BlackCats made me laugh,,thats what I would have done.!! I have 2,,only 2 ,,Barc Rivas sent me the Dirty Vanishing Point Challenger and Drew and Seth sent me a 70 Shaker Hood Challenger with my red/white paint scheme. I cherish both, because my mates sent them to me. Thank you both!

I found an ERTL 1/18 garage equipment set in the cupboard while I was searching for some more cars to post up. It's just a tool cab, compressor, welder and starter, but I'd like to get a ramp like the one in fal108's garage scene pic, where did ya find that?

Those are two different tool sets combined. A place I go to for diecast has some different sets http://www.designsinm.com/cgi-bin/search.cgi

How are the Franklin Mint 1/24 models regarded in the States? I got quite a few choice muscle cars from then or their other brand and I always thought they were pretty good quality, especially considering the smaller scale.
Have two 1/12 cars from them too, a 67 Stingray and a 57 Chevy Belair, both convertibles and both crammed with details, many working features like opening glove box doors, fuel flaps etc.
Get some pix up this afternoon I think.
I'm a big fan of the really big scale cars, take up a lot of space but they are incredible models, got a couple of early Mustangs, a couple of 59 Corvettes, a GTO, a 59 Eldorado, a Jag XJ220, and a 427 Gulf GT40.

Franklin Mint generally are pretty nice. I like the 1:12 and larger scales also but they are $$$$$$ and take up a ton of room. The link I gave earlier, Designs In Motion, is selling some 1:12 cars from his personal collection, right now. Including a couple of serial number 00001 Cobras IIRC.
I'm going to try and get the rest of my pics taken this coming week.

GMP GT40, the nicest quality big scale model I've got. The details are incredible, don't think these iPhone pix get anywhere near to showing it properly. The tyres are so beautifully moulded if you photographed em with decent hardware you could pass em off as the real thing, same for the interior and engine bay.
Check it

Sorry some are out of focus. If anyone wants better pics of something, just holler out. I was too lazy to get all the cars out for a photo shoot, though eventually I want to do that so I have photos of all my diecast (for insurance and just so I know what i have)

Very impressive stuff mate  excellent collection and a really interesting mix of cars.
I'd love to see the Tijuana Taxi and Red Baron up close, wild 60's customs really get my juices flowin
I dug this out if you're interested, another GMP product this time in 1/18 scale, the companion car to your PorkChop shine runner, his replacement built out of an early Fox 'Stang police car. It has some really nice details, slicks, blown 390 big block ,MSD ign system, fuel cell, cage, monster tach, 9" rear end, pretty cool touches. Check it;

Ill try and get some more detailed photos. I've actually got 4 Tom Daniels cars; Paddy Wagon (blue C-cab), Tijuana Taxi, Red Baron and Bad Medicine (purple dragster). Still waiting to get T rantula (green dragster).
In big scale, the Ed "Big Daddy" Roth Outlaw was recently accounced in 1/6 scale. This was a MAJOR showcar back in the sixties/early seventies. http://www.supercar1.com/catalog/index. ... ts_id=6441 Supercar1 is another good site I have ordered from.
As for the Pork Chop Mustang, I almost bought it as I really like the Pork Chop series but there were too many other cars ahead on my list :D One of my favorite cars is the Pork Chop '34 Altered (top car in one of the altereds photos). It's a very in demand car that doesn't come up very often and when it does it usually goes for over $500 (even in this economy).
I just received an email that my diecast store (http://www.designsinm.com) owner is going to be selling off some of his personal collection soon. He sent an advance notice to his brick/mortar customers as a heads-up (he's good about that). Just wish had some disposable $$ to get some of them as his personal collection is amazing.

I'll check him out properly, ta for the heads up
On the subject of values, I clicked onto the Exoto website a couple days back to see what I was missing in that Standox Paint series, I was just bloody speechless when I see they had at least 3 of my cars in their 'sale' at 900 bucks   ..........jeez thats just mental, somebody must be paying it or they would'nt be tryin at that but its a stupid amount, even if they are retired.
Found my 1/12 67 Stingray in a cupboard so I'll get that up at the weekend.

Ta for the pix :D I love them '60's show cars, probably down to the Monogram 1/24's I used to make as a kid, all the show cars blew me away! I'd never seen anything so cool and yet so whacky, the detail and the execution of em was incredible

I built "Paddy Wagon" in the early 60s. It got broken by another child after I had left home so I pulled it apart for spares and still have some of the parts in the loft somewhere.

Man I think everyone built the "PATTY WAGON"(lets see if the author is watching his thread  )

and the Red Baron too I have the matching hotwheels but all my stuff is buried behind a 1:1 scale model for the moment, but I did find some so I will post up later :s004:

Well I never built those when I was younger but I usually built truck or muscle car models. i do remember going to, IIRC, World of Wheels and seeing some of those wild rides. Especially remember seeing a Hemi-powered pool table  I would have loved to see that one driving :s006:

This was my absolute favourite model I built, if I remember right it even had a bit of red velvety material for the interior, I thought it was the biz........
