Insane 1970 Maverick

So this is my father's toy, a 1970 Maverick with a 429 big block in it. He acquired the car from a friend who did the engine swap. It has a full roll cage in it, and the frame and engine compartment have extensive bracing now. The 429 itself is mildly built, bored .030 over and with keith black pistons, forged rods and such, and a mildly agressive cam. The ridiculous box on the hood is necessary for the engine to fit, as the top of the air cleaner is not even a half inch below the hood, even with a low-rise intake. In order to fit a radiator up front, it is now cooled with two electric fans, and the radiator is tilted drastically to take advantage of the extra room at the front of the boxed hood. This is also the reason that the original grille had to come off. The only way to get the engine out is to disassemble the entire front end and pull it straight out the front. A posi rearend is absent, meaning that the car breaks loose quite easily no matter what speed it's at. Drum brakes all around also make it quite difficult to stop at times. But cars like this were never meant to stop.
