I missed that! Oops! I didn't see that at all. I did think about saying who the source was but the home page (if I had it right) would not load on my computer and I wanted to get his name and link to his site.

I shall go there now and see exactly what it says.

OK.

Now that warning was not on the page linked to from the AAR/TA forum. And mind reading is not one of my talents.

Second I have linked to his video files which are public accessable. I have not dowloaded them.

However I HAVE dowloaded his still images to present them here. You know this guy? If he wants me to delete them I will consider it.

In general if you don't want photos dowloaded you don't put them on the internet. It is a public place. Everything on my site has been dowloaded and used on other sites. Even the bloody text and background has been used on several other sites.
Do I gripe about it? No!
There is nothing you can do about it so why bother worrying about it?

He does not give his name but his web site is http://www.michaelp.org if that helps. It is a really good collection of stuff on there. A very good resource.

I agree about his site being a very good resource. I DON'T know him, but posted the suggestion to perhaps prevent any difficulties for you. I didn't post any of the photos on the All E-body Forum because of the murky, technical, confusing legalities of copyright laws on the internet. (That's why I usually suggest that the reader should "check out" the webpage.)

I agree also about posting photos if you don't want them copied or downloaded. When there's a bunch of good photos or material posted somewhere, it's an awfully tempting decision for the viewer to make copies or to download the publicly accessible file or files. In addition, if you link to the photo pages on this site, there's no way to navigate to his directory/index home page unless you type in the first part of his url. (That's how I got to the directory/index link.) I came across the photo page by doing a Google photo search for Sam Posey.

Well it is not in my nature to upset anyone :roll:

so if he complains I will just delete the thread. I have enough grief without that sort of thing.

I knew there are members of this board that are very interested in this car so I thought it worth posting here. There are a few of us that look out for anything Challenger orientated and post it up here for the rest. I don't really care where it comes from.

Wanted to make sure I understood correctly what they meant with "acid bath" mentioned on that page Christer linked. Found explanation (to reduce weight as I suspected) and following page with Speedvision AAR and T/A racing article.

I have heard a story about a Race-Challenger that was in the acid bath one or two minutes too long :!:

Because of that, the roof got wrinkled during training. To get the car ready for race day, they did rent a Challenger and simply chopped the roof out of the car (!!!!!), and welded it into place.

I guess the car rental company wasn´t too happy about the idea, but at least I hope that they got paid :lol:

The Speedvision show was not the most correct piece ever done. In fact only one of the cars they showed was actually correct. The Challengers were actually acid dipped more than the AAR Cudas. Theres also pix and info on my site.
