A 1971 Cuda conv is seeing daylight after 25 years...

Postby christer » 05 May 2014 18:54

Gunnar Eriksson, who is working in the same building as I do, has managed to get his 71 Cuda conv back in running condition. I asked him if I was allowed to show the pic´s on a Challenger site and he replied that it was about time that the people here saw a "real" car. It is B5-blue. What do you think of it?

At first he painted it black because it is is easier to spot any imperfections with a black paint. After that he covered tha black paint with B5-blue. That is how I have understood it.

Yet more pic´s from the same car meet. By coincidence all of the cars are made in the UK. (Sorry for the non-mopar cars.)

Nice pix Christer
We see those E-Type (XKE's) all the time here in the UK, lovely cars tho but the Jensen, now that's another story, not many good rust free cars left now, beautiful seventies styling and bulletproof mechanicals.
The early cars, '68-'71 were powered by 383's, the later cars, up to '75 were 440 powered, a good number of which with Sixpack induction.
A few early cars were also known as FF's, they employed a Ferguson all wheel drive system and anti lock braking system, super advanced for the late '60's
