This event is taking place this weekend in Tallinn (my hometown :o ) and theres a Chally that I think i've seen on this board somewhere. There is a pic of it http://www.bhra.ee/content/view/26/61/
And oh my god  this will be the FIRST time i'll see my dream. I just can't believe it. And a little bigger dream is to feel the drivers seat under my bottom for a few minutes  I know it sounds stupid but it really is a very very big deal for me

Don't get too excited. You have no way of knowing what cars will turn up. I will keep my fingers crossed for you though. I never saw a Challenger for real until I was in my mid-twenties.

Thanks for crossed fingers Dave.
Im pretty sure it will show up because that is the official page and cars on those pics should be there.
But do you know anything about that ride? I'm sure i've seen it somewhere (maybe it is my bad memory  )

And about that age.......well......I think in two days im'a beat you with more than two years

They could have taken those photos from anywhere. They me be what turned up last year or just taken at random from other web sites. They have no way of knowing who or what will turn up. Trust me. I have helped organise shows myself before. So don't build your hopes up.

As for seeing that Challenger before. Maybe. It looks familiar. But I doubt it is in Estonia.

Did you ever find out the cost of getting to a Mopar event in Western Europe? How much would it cost you to get to the Nats here in England for instance?

If we start from top.. First four have finnish license plates. Not sure about white car, could be from carshow held in Helsinki, Finland couple years ago. At least same looking car was there and background (walls, roofs) looks a lot like fair center in Finland. On background of pinkish GTX is partly visible major finnish parts dealers name (US-Parts). Next two cars have finnish plates. Following four - no plates visible. That yellow car has finnish plates, dunno about hotrod but I've seen that photo before. I'd say background in Challenger photo is ferry terminal in Helsinki. Red Camaro has finnish plates just like rest of photos except last yellow one which looks like swedish because there's red sticker on middle between letters and numbers.

I doubt that all those cars would be in Estonia now. There was large car show in Helsinki during last weekend and another one on next weekend.

BTW. I saw Challenger live for first time in January 2001 right after my both challengers were unloaded from sea container. They came from Canada.

Thank you jr. I searched the owner on Google and found its ET 14,792@162,16 I don't know if these are correct. And on that page they say it's a '70 Challence  not '71.
Does TF-727 mean it's an automatic?

Dave I don't know. I Think it would cost too much (for me). The trip itself is pretty expensive.

by dave-r
Yeah I know you can't afford to make the trip but how much would it cost?

No way will any car do 162mph in the quarter mile and only get a 14 sec ET. It would be well into the single figures and that is unlikely to say the least.

TF = TorqueFlite = Chryslers automatic trans.

727 = The bigger heavier duty trans.

Well by plane the cheapest would be around 130€ for one way ticket(avarage salary down here is ~450€)

Hmm....maybe it was 162km/h:lol:

Hey, but at least the fuel is cheap in Estonia! Well, at least compared to our prices... Have been in Tallin once and man that fuel price made me  Over here it's €1.29 / liter !!

By the way, 14.7@162kph is too fast for the ET. His ET can be much more lower, say around 13.9's. I'm running 13.4@166kph. But then again, if he's running streetradials it explaines all.

Hope you have fun there!

I always forget you guys talk Km instead of miles.

EasyJet do cheap flights from my town to Prague for about 15-20 euros (+taxes) at the moment. I wondered if you could get a deal coming the other way if you could get to Prague cheaply? Some airlines offer some good deals at the moment.
Probably cheaper to drive to a show in Sweden though?

Maybe the big meet in vastaras ? Have to go there myself too some time, man that's a big show! But then again, first I want to visit the Nats sometime!

Well mates......One step closer to my dream. At last I've seen the Challenger. I saw it yesterday(almost two days ago) and believe me....my hands ARE still shaking. Im just like an 85 year-old. And ofcourse the first look: When I entered the hall there were Estonias two best drag Camaros right next to the entrance. Then just after a few steps there came the stairs. That was the hardest part of all. Chally was right down the stairs and oh my god did my legs start to shake. I've never felt such weakness in my body. Really I thought I was going to faint. I even had to hold on to my friend so I wouldn't fell. It was just sooooooo good and crazy feeling. No doubt that it was better than sex. Then I was just trying to stand there shaking right next to the chally for five long minutes. There just aint no words to describe that feeling.
The funny thing is that I didn't care about those beautiful ladies who walked around and danced. My friend reminded me to take some pictures of them.
Anyway that was the most heartbraking moment when I had to leave.
And even more. On the second day we went again and I made some videos of the burnout competition. When it was over I had to go home and copy videos to my computer and head back with empty memory cards. It took us several hours (besides I was very tired and had a hard hangover) and when we got back..... show was over and chally was gone. I hoped that maybe I would see the Chally riding and MAYBE even get in it but it was gone already.....sorrow.

And this is how it is - I loved Chally very much before and now I love it more than anything else (actually not because I'm starting to see girls again  )

I made over 100 pictures at the show and 12 videos too. Right now i'm making a web page to show you all the pics.

Love ya all!

Ok here it is. http://www.hot.ee/acs04
It's still not finished but at least pictures are there. I have to convert videos to divx and then put them up.
Videos are cool because they are taken on the second day. Then the bi-turbo Vette (blue) came out of the hall too and burnt some tires. Cool thing because they said that this car is a potential 1200bhp ride(i might have heard wrong but I think it is). Nice huh? It could have won but he wasted the tires. You can see rubber flying on one video. And the best part of its burnout is when the wastegate(or smth) steps in. You can feel the blast in your stomach.
Oh my god there is soooo much to say about this show and about all the cars.

Videos will be up tomorrow I think.

You really should get out more!

I am VERY pleased that a Challenger turned up at your show. Not the car you were expecting I see but a Challenger non the less. Your photos are good. I look forward to seeing the videos.

Then I was just trying to stand there shaking right next to the chally for five long minutes

You've really got it bad haven't you!

Dave once again you are right about everything
And as you can see you were right about those cars too. Only few of them were at the show.
The dream of my dreams is white Challenger 70 R/T SE (i love that little rear window)

Those videos aren't very good quality. We had to stay behind the fence and camera didn't have zoom while filming. And sound quality is poor too.
I converted them to divx but they still take too much space. And im not going to lower the resolution. I hate low res videos.
It'll take some time to upload them all. they take 90mb at the moment.
I will let you know.

Nobody is ever right about everything. Especially me!

Time for you to start drinking less, work hard, and save money. See a bit of the world and get to some big mopar shows. Otherwise next thing you know you will be married with kids and it will all be an impossible dream again.

Good point there Dave. There are going to be big changes in my life. Time to get healthy and stuff. Stopped drinking coffee 2 weeks ago. Before that I was drinking 6 cups every day at school. I'm feelin better already. Next thing is smoking :(

Anyway videos are up and running. If there are any problems then let me know.

I get the sound but no pictures. It might just be the drivers on this machine at work. I will try from home tonight.

Smoking. It is not my place to say this to you and this is not the place to say it. But... DON'T!
Life (and money) is short enough.

You're missing divx5 codec. Try installing ffdshow if you only want to decode different divx/mpeg4 variations: http://athos.leffe.dnsalias.com/ffdshow-20040418.exe

On work computer it might be better not to install. Your IT support might not like it. :)

They give me admin rights these days (the fools!) so I just installed it. That works fine now thanks. It looks like you guys were having a good time. :D

The 2 funniest things I heard there:
Some kids were talking and one said "This is Challengers relative" and he was pointing to black Firebird.
And then two men walked around the show with microphones and said something about all the cars. When they got to the Chally one said: "I don't know if this 340 is a HEMI or not"

Oh and Dave...your 800th post

800th post? Yeah I talk too much!

There were some very cool cars there. Not a bad little show at all.

There are not many Chevys I respect but I see there was a big block Chevelle SS there. Much respect for those!
