I agree with you, Adrian. I am thinking about the gasser style. Did all of them have a front beam axle? What was the main purposes with using a front beam axle? Was it getting a roomier engine compartment, weight savings, weight distibution or show?

About the pro touring Charger: It seems like the body consists of brushed steel with just clearcoat on top. Hopefully they started with a straight body - otherwise they must have spent a lot of time prepping the body. I hate to be picking on such a nice car, but a problem area is where you have tin troweled. There will be another finish in these areas. A super-nice car! 8)

Thanks! It is by far the best and largest in-door show for modified cars we have in Sweden. By natural reasons I don´t think it as on the same level as the best shows in the US.

By a strange coincidence, I met up with a guy at this particular car show. He grew up in in the same small village as myself. His name is Roger. We even went to the same school for a number of weeks. A couple of times I travelled to school in the 1960 Cadillac he owned at that time. I immediately recoqnized him even though we had not seen each other for about thirty years. Now that lucky bastard (sorry  ) owns a 69´Hemi Charger. According to him it is one of only four export Hemi Chargers that year. He bought it from the Netherlands and has been restoring it for a number of years. To me it seems like he has done a great job. The well known finish dragracer Jari Konola (I think) helped him with the engine. He did well becuse when Roger and his daughter went to a car meet, his daughter begged him to floor the pedal. When he did this, four bolts in the rear axle were sheared into pieces. Roger believed this happened due to an un-even layer of asphalt, making the tires stick from time to time while smoking the tires.

I did not know that some of the Hemi cars had the 8 3/4 rear axle. I thought all of them had the Dana 60. You learn something new each day.

We had a nice chat for about 30 minutes. It was fun meeting him.

I'm sure as anything that Hemi cars could only come with a heavy duty drivetrain package, which of course included a Dana axle, especially a 4 speed?!
Be interesting to see what the experts on here say..................

Charger looks awesome tho does'nt it?
He is a 'lucky bastard'

Nice one Pat, thanks for clearing that up for me!
I'm amazed, I just assumed all Hemi cars wether B,C or E bodies got a Dana.

Did all RB engined R/T cars with 4 speeds get a Dana too?

My understanding is that RB cars with 4 speeds got the Dana while all others (smallblock, andB & RB autos) got the 8 3/4. (Unless ordered). Can't recall offhand about TAs and AARs though, not near my reference materials.
My knowledge is really limited compared to others on here though.

70-71 E-bodies: I believe that the cars with 440 sixpack/4-speed or 426Hemi/4-speed got the Dana as standard. On all of the other models, the Dana was an option. That is what I believe.

I still ask myself which of the 1964-1969 Hemi cars that got the Dana as standard.

I suppose it is this car you are referring to? I assume that it is a Charger R/T by reading the text on the car, but I am not 100% sure.

Thanks, Ade! Your kind words makes me do another hi-jack on my own thread.

In spring 2015 a attended a very local meeting in Sjuntorp, 60 km north of where I live (in Gothenburg). The first pic´s shows my personal favourites: A field-painted Challenger that probably not has been repainted since the eighties. Super-cool, if you ask me. The other car is a blown 426 Hemi Satellite. It gives me goose-bumps. 8)

Here are the rest of the cars I saw in Sjuntorp.

The last of the pic´s shows my shoes, 46 in size. A short distance from the meeting, I found a bicycle/skateboard ramp and I could not resist taking a nap and enjoying the lovely weather

The black blown Sattelite is just sinister!
