Yes the Corvette owners seem to like their chains and ropes. What does that say about them?

It's actually put me off doing any shows with them in the future. I just cannot get into the "show" mentality.

Actually they are a pretty friendly bunch, got talking to a couple of 'em, one had a 63 conv and another had an 82 Crossfire ltd ed in that lovely oyster gold, but there was a few cocks in the "enclosure", rally jackets, sunglasses, a syrup , don't need to go on do I....................

Nice cars there even the" Vette corral" they need a "keep out " sign, violators will be stabbed with a plastic knife............I know a bunch of Vette owners that say the same thing you say Dave, most Vette owners are very cool I had one compliment me on my chally just yesterday.......but it is the one"Vette guy" that seems to be the rotten apple.

Very nice cars ,I kind of am getting the idea that people over there like the larger Mopars a little more than the E and A bodies maybe that is just me

A-body cars are looked down on a little. Only good as stripped down race cars. Very unfair I feel as they are usually very well balanced with good power to weight ratio and not bad looking.

The B-body cars are thought to be "real Mopars". So big block Chargers, Coronets and Roadrunners are sought after.

The E-body has a big following too but unless it is a 70-71 version it does not hold much respect with the main Mopar crowd. You do not see many 70-71 original big block cars over here though. Because there are not very many. The good ones are too expensive for the UK market so usually sell back to the US or more often (because shipping is cheaper) to mainland Europe (like mine).

I think the physical size of the B-body helps its popularity over here. When you consider how small most UK cars have traditionally been they stand out in the crown very well. Plus there is the "mine is bigger than yours" penis comparison of course. The guys with big cars and big engines are trying to make you think they must have big wallets and big cocks too.
Think I might get me a 1969 Coronet next time.

Yes those A bodies are underrated ,well built ,fast reliable,I cut my Mopar teeth with 6 of em ,and then then I got a chally and wondered where the craftsman ship went :|

But I can understand how those big Mopars would stand out,and the penis envy some might have :D

I have to admit to being easily imopressed by big engines and cars
I've always been unable to understand the lack of respect that the A body cars get over here, like Dave says, even with stroker blocks and such they struggle to sell
Can't imagine anything much sweeter than a Dart 340GTS witha 4 speed, or a 71 Duster plastered with graphics and Plum Crazy paint
Even the enormous land yatchs get a better time of it in the UK, an Imperial or New Yorker will get more attention than any small Mopar :?

I had this Duster that I used to have alot of fun at the road course ,they never knew what class to put my car in (ONE TIME THE PORSCHE CLUB PUT ME WITH THE 914 CLASS) I took 2nd place and they complained and quickly switched me to the 911 class I took 3 rd and the next year the wouldent let us play in the sand box any more, those Abodies just piss people off at most track events I have been to,it is funny to seee em stomp more expensive cars  remember the first car to win the scca trans am event in 66 i think was an A body :D
