Good nights sleep and a bloody good dinner at the Dog and Duck is a nice bit of luxury in the middle of several days at Santa Pod.

Yeah it was called Santa Poo for a while, but to be fair some folk raised the issue, Dave being one of them and the facilities have improved.

No I mean MANY years ago Wayne. When the loos were nothing more than a pit in the ground. I used to have trouble not being sick when using them back in the late 70s and early 80s. The stench was overwhelming when you were feeling rather delicate after drinking all night in the 24 hour bar they used to have.

I tell you what Drew. You will notice the difference in the amount of daylight we have up here at my place this time of year as I am at 55 degrees North. I think Denver is around 39 degrees?

The sun is going to wake you up in the early hours if you are not used to it and my bedroom curtains are not very good at blocking the light. There is still some little light in the sky at 11pm in the evenings too up here just now. Not so much by the time you get here though. At the end of June we only get about 3-4 hours of darkness.

I will just have to make sure you are very tired by the time you get to bed.

One of my nicest memories is of walking along Bamburgh beach still in daylight at nearly 11 at night and seeing porpoises frolicking about in the surf only 10 foot from where we stood, bloody brilliant

Yea this will be a little shock to the system,I usually get up early, but I am sure I will lose some sleep,

but hey it is vacation,I actually cant wait to see light in the sky at 11 pm.sounds cool to me...............the last 3 nights we have had t storms keep us awake until 11 pm so perhaps someone is training us

I am wondering how my body is affected by the time change,I havent really gone this far out of our time zone :s006:

Yes I will be taking Drew and Lisa to Bamburgh Castle. Although I think we will be damn lucky to see Porpoise because I never have. You do get the odd one that hangs around in the local harbours every now and again. But never when I am there.
