Challengers needed for Goodwood Festival of Speed
Posted: 28 Jun 2008 20:30
I just got this email.
Hi, I'm writing you at the request of Pete Gladysz who is Chrysler's
lead engineer for the new SRT8 Dodge Challenger (http://www.dodge.com/en/2008/challenger/
) . For the European introduction of the model, Pete will lead a
group of motoring journalists on a trip (in SRT8's of course) from
Italy to the UK, culminating in a press event at the Goodwood Festival
of Speed. Pete asked me to contact Mopar enthusiasts in the UK to see
if there were owners of classic 70's Dodge Challengers who would like
to join him at Goodwood for an old/new photo shoot against the
spectacular background of the festival. So that why I've contacted
you. I checked out the MoparUK web site and see there appear to be a
couple of good looking, unmolested, examples that might fit the bill.
Can you help by contacting your membership with my request or direct
me to members that might be interested. Pete promises a good time for
all.
My own rally prepared '67 Barracuda (see attachment) will be there and
I hope to come across the pond to exercise it on the rally course!
Regards,
