Clone car though. VIN states 318 originally. Now 440+6 but very well done. I couldn't fault it.

You are right Eddie. I love the 71 ragtop. Nice color . I was so tempted to clone mine as a R/T but with only 122 made, I just had to go back factory. By the way Eddie, we are going to be in your town on September the first for a soccer tournament. Any chance we could hook up?

You know. I totally forgot there was no such thing as a 71 convertible R/T. :bonk:

Bob, you bet, let me know and we will hook up and take the R/T for a spin!!. It runs even better now that it has the right Spark Plugs in it! I also installed ARP 12 point Stainless fasteners on the TTI Headers. I hate rust/corrosion! That 71 gets me too Dave! Wonder why they did that. The Barracuda obviously had a 71 Ragtop but no 71 Dodge. Odd?

Oh they had a 71 Challenger convertible alright. Just no R/T version.

You could get a 383 in both 2 and 4bbl versions though.

Eddie, when I come out your way and go for a ride again. Will this put me back ahead of RedRaven in the will?

Yeah Bob, but it's also going to the U.K. as well! I would love to compete in the English version of the gumball rally. London to St. Petersburg and Back!! Four global travelers in my R/T, it would be terrific!
