They put me on a new Injection treatment. My knees are much better! Still messed up but very tolerable. Getting ready to install the winch mounting plates from underneath to re-inforce the wooden flooring. This will make it almost impossible to sleep in the trailer,,no room up front with the tie-downs, winch&battery,,unless someone wants to sleep under the fuel tank. I'll probably do that since I'm used to sleeping with 'scary' things. . Looks like Poor Ol Dave will have to be forced to endure Bob's famous White Castle's Hoosier farts!

I put 3 coats of Urethane down, turned out nice, I mounted a couple of 'kick plates' to re-inforce the flooring ramp. It's put in from the factory with the grain running from end to end. I thought this would be easier to break it that way? I had to 'snatch' the steel plates from welding class. I cant afford the price they want for sheet steel. 4'X8' for alluminum brite tread wholesale is 376.00!!

From underneath,,1/8" steel re-inforcement plates with 5,, 3/8X3" inch fasteners per side. I think it should be fine now. I'm gonna get a Deep Cycle Optima yellow Top Battery, a couple cans of undercoating, a spare trailer tire&wheel a spare for the R/T and I'm done.

God only knows Jon. :s008:

It would be great to spend a night in Yosemite if possible but I doubt we could get further west than that in the time allowed.

Eddie, The trailer is looking great. What day do we head out on our trip? There is going to be a huge Mopar car show in St Louis the last weekend in Sept. I know our schedule is real tight, but we do go through St Louis.

Thanks Guys, Bob I think we should leave the day we pick up Dave at the airport. You are near Indy, so get Dave, I'll be waiting on you two,(Or I can be there with you to pick him up it doesnt matter either way) then we depart from my home in Terre Haute, Ind. to Denver Colo. no sleepover,, no time. I think Goldfield is as far West as we will have time for. We can invade Barc's home in St. Louie!!! His wife told me we are all welcome  Yeah, if we go right through it we are kinda obligated to see our ol friend/mate Barc Rivas,(Fal308) and if the show is going on well,,,,but most likely we need to put some miles under our belts. Bob---Dave arrives at 2:42PM Saturday,,Sept. 26 He departs Mon Oct 5 at 2:50 PM but since it's an international flight I think he has to be there 4 hours before the plane is scheduled to leave or 10:30 AM or so. Jon&Jack T we will try and make some good time. If we can find a way we will try and hook-up somewhere but I dont think we'll be anywhere near the Cali. border. It would be great if you 2 could make it out to Goldfield and find a place for our trucks to spend the night there. We could have a 'mini' Challenger show in the middle of nowhere. Goldfield, Nev.! :s009:

Sounds great Eddie. We must be either 18 years old or just plain nuts. I have to drive right past the airport in Indy, so it will be no problem to pick up Dave. If he is really nice to me, I will pick him up in the Challenger, Eddie, will there be a covered place to park the car for the week-plus that we are gone?

Yeah the MMW show is that weekend (that's where I'll be). I'd say this is a don't miss show but the way you guys are pressed for time, it wouldn't be worth it for you. This show takes up the whole facility; the 1/4 mile strip, the oval track and its infield. So you need quite a bit of time to see it all. I'll give Eddie my cell number in case you guys need anything while in the area.

Bob,,INDY has Parking facilities and they are both covered and uncovered. So I think it would be ok... but I have an even better idea. How would you like to keep your gorgous Challenger safe and tucked away in my "Secure Correctional,,err,,/Garage facility for a the trip? It will be safe and locked away from the weather and will be all by itself. I wont even give her a strip search.

You have already accomplished that feat by virtue of this board.

This is a Challenger trip, so if the "weather" is nice enough then it will be the 70. If the weather is suspect, then you will have to suffer in the 09.

Thanks Eddie for the wonderful offer. If you decide not to meet us at the airport. I will most certainly take you up on the garage space.

The end of September is in my production season when I sort of live at the whim of the show I work for. As soon as I have a production schedule in hand for next season, I'll see if the great excursion has one of my two-day weekends in it. Even if it's a one-day weekend, I could still fly out Saturday PM and fly back Sunday to meet up with you guys. I doubt the Challenger will make it, but we'll see what happens.

What you need to tell her is that you think it is best to get your mid-life crisis out of the way now so that you can give her more love and attention later in life.

And if she swallows that she will swallow anything.
