I took some shots of the TV screen for now.

He travels past Mono Lake on the 167 from Hawthorne, Nevada. So he drives though Toiyabe National Forest.

You next see the map when he is out the other side of Yosemite traveling along the 120 past Chinese Camp.

Looking at Google Earth, a place called Knights ferry is the closest place to where Cisco is on the film map.

Taking into account it's a fictional map and not very close to the real map, it appears to be about halfway between Oakdale and Chinese Camp according to Yahoo Maps http://maps.yahoo.com/#mvt=m&lat=37.968 ... 52C%2520ca
Using Goodge Earth, there's a town called Keystone that is in the general vicinity of Cisco 37 50 34.5N 120 30 21.84W
I typed in Chinese Camp, CA to get thereand followed 120/108

We were researching at the same time. Not sure about Knight's Ferry though. It's on the river and Cisco is n't on a river.

Is this trip really possible?

Eddies to Denver = 1,020 miles (16 hours)
Denver to Goldfield = 927 miles (14 hours)
Goldfield to Yosemite = 260 miles (6 hours)
Yosemite to Knights Ferry = 57 miles (1 hour)
Knights Ferry to Reno = 220 miles (4 hours)
Reno to Denver = 1,058 miles (15 hours)
Denver back to Eddies = 1,020 miles (16 hours)

That is 4,562 miles in 72 hours non stop driving.

If we drove a straight 12 hours per day that would be 6 days.

Bloody tight for me, Eddie and Bob.

Maybe, we'll have to shave some of the sight seeing. Remember, it's a once in a lifetime deal.

If I miss my return flight, they make you walk, ok yes i have talled with my friend here , unless you can get more tim here dave we need to make sure we have enough time to complete the trip we figure 6 to 8 hours max ,per day there will be plenty to see if we plan the shortese distance between denver and gold field using the yahoo map we have t main hiway options salt lake, or vegas, however if we venture on to the secondary roads we will see more of this country the "route 66 style" so we need to think this out we have a little time but not much giddyup cowboys we are goin out west

You guys are 'flippin nuts'. Dave, can you imagine what we will smell like in my truck after 3 days non-stop,(of driving) I think Drew is on the right track (Butt, just in case, I'll bring the caffeine pills&ephenepherine and Jolt Cola plus my Coffee makers).

Jolt Cola,they still make that bildge water? yea we need to try to stay on some sort of track i would love to see yogi and all his friends , but its atleast 800 miles off our track ,

moab, utah, look it up its way cool, and not crowded and more on the way if ,we want, other wise we should find the shortest way west of here

I'm with you fella's. I just don't want you guy's to bail. If you do, Drew and AMX guy, are stuck with me. Worst case scenerio. I'll have to sell my flight ticket's on ebay-craigslist, and give that and the other money I saved, to my kid's. You guy's don't want that to happen, do you?

Dont worry Drew. Dave, Bob and I will be there!! Changing the return date would be wise Dave, but I like you and the others have an obligation to get back in a reasonable time. We want to ENJOY this trip. Not 'kill' ourselves. Personally, I have to move around every few hours. Get out of the vehicle and walk around a bit,(my arthritis in my knees and steel in my back), if I dont the pain level shoots thru the roof. I can 'push' myself sure, spent my whole life doing that. But it's about having fun. Not trying to break any speed or time records. Nor putting our lives or equipment in danger from fatigued driving. We drive to Denver non-stop, spend some time and have a cookout at Drew's place get a good nights sleep then were off to Goldfield. but on the car departure from Denver to Goldfield we drive during daylight hours and camp during the night. I'm not comfortable driving my R/T late at night in the desert, during any rain or sand storms ect..this is for FUN!!

If you got even 2 more days dave it would work alot easier, but we can do it in 5 days,
one thing for sure is we can trailer the cars back from goldfield to save a little time hey ed maybe one of those seat massagers might buy you a little more time behind the wheel, just a thought but i do know road fatigue and it sucks, I have no idea what it is like to have steel in my back but i do have crappy knees too! so we will definetly take our time with some breaks along the way my seats recline so we can use my ride for some short naps, ya know since the windows are dark

I installed these Factory Dodge tow mirrors on both sides of the Truck this morn. it makes a big difference and you can actually see the end of the trailer! Slip-Ons wre junk, plus they were 1/2 the price of these. I went with the factory stuff, it's always best. Next thing I need to buy is a winch,(5,000lb. unit). I figured a way to mount it with 1/4" steel plate on the inside floor a 16''X12" piece and this will mount the winch to the floor, then from underneath a 1/16" steel plate to reinforce it. I already have the steel plate from my Welding Class, , the winch and Deep cycle battery will cost around 600.00 but it's gonna be necessary. Oh, I also bought 2 gallons of Urethane Clear for the wood floor in the trailer. Might as well try and keep it nice and clean!

Those look great Eddie. Now I will be able to see to shave my back hairs on the trip. My "winch" weighs about 5000lbs. could you mount her?

We will need more than a 5000lb winch to pull Eddie out of the Mustang Ranch.

Yeah, we must be!! We might be able to make it IF conditions are near perfect. 1 mechanical breakdown, Bob breaks a razor on his backside, flat tire ectt will probably put us behind schedule and have us rushing like madmen. Perfect!!

No worries Mates. Super Soul will guide us. Eddie, as far as the back hair goes. I am letting it get long so I can comb it up over my head to cover my bald spot on top of my head.
