A whole 'Pint' or '1/2 pint'? Drew, I just bought 2 things to make our life easier. A trailer safety 'block' that allows you to drive up on it and allows the free wheel to be changed,(in case of a flat tire). Dont need a trailer jack that way. It holds 7 tons, so we can use it to change flats on both rigs. The other thing is an air mattress!

Yeah Drew, I had a Lamenectomy in '95',(4 rods, 2 bone fusions, titanium cage at the L-4 and L-5 vertabrae), remember the 'Six Million Dollar Man? I am the $1.75 dude!

The occasional beer might be drank....

Hey Drew. If we get bored we can amuse ourselves by throwing magnets at Eddie and see if we can get them to stick.

Hey guys I am Back. Sorry for the absence.

Eddie I got your message. I am still in. Splitting the cost is no problem. If they only had White Castles west of the Mississippi we could run on "BIO" diesel.

Looks like a training potty for me.

I can't beleive it is actually colder in Nevada than it is here in Newcastle right now. :?

That is the time difference too. 3:42pm where I am and 7:42am in Nevada.

I am going to be VERY jet lagged. :D

I completely forgot about that Dave. I'll leave you in charge of the Coffee&Tea maker I'm bringing. An 12 Volt DC to 120 Volt AC,(60 Hertz) invertor with 2 plugs should be enough with 1500 Watts maybe 2500? Enough for a Coffee/Tea maker and small fan for the gaseous byproducts  (I also got the whole deal Insured and Plated, were legal in all 50 states) even Ill. (Just kiddin Barc)

Dave, that is high desert. Don't know if you're familiar with this tpopgraphy but temp extremes are the norm. You could easily have a hard frost overnight and hit in the 90s F and higher in the afternoon. Even in the dead of summer you could use a jacket at night and be broiling during the day. An interesting place, the high desert.

It was the max daytime temp that suprised me. That a place so much further south than me (only 37 degrees North and a desert to boot) is not reaching daytime temps as high as me at the moment up at 55 degrees North.
I assumed that even at this time of year it would be warmer there.

Really looking forward to being there. :D

well i do know this in september/october it will be very warm look at the average temps in those months, and yes it always cools down at night the air is so thin it just doesnt hold the heat as much, this time of year will be ideal, the aspens will be changing

,there is also a cool spot on the way moab look it up there is things there that look like a totally different planet that is just one of the place we can chck out , or just drive through.

i have a buddie that lived in grand junction colorado, which is due west of here and from there it is right on the state line of utah/neveda he spent some time there and drove the route we have chosen as well as many other routes so i will quiz him about it and get some of the off the beaten path stops,

trust me the scenery will blow you away i have lived here all my life and im getting chills just typing it now so i cant wait till you guys get here and see this beautiful area!

Not much ocean buffering going on that far east of the Pacific. Also depends on the air flows especially where they are coming from.

We did a trip thru Nevada, Utah, and Arizona in late Sept a few years back and it was quite nice overall.

If you get a chance check out Zion and (or) Bryce Canyon national parks.

I'm gonna buy a 55 Gal. fuel drum of VP RED 100 Octane Unleaded. Much better than Octane boosters, in case NO Prem. fuel is available in the middle of Nevada. The VP fuel depot is only 6 miles from my home! Great isnt it!  I must have at least 92 Octane. (10:2 to 1 Comp with alloy heads) 34@ 2600RPM's No Vac. Adv Temps in the 80's-90,s Sept. Nevada that time of year. I also am going to buy a Power invertor around 1500 Watts be enough? DC/AC Convertor to power laptops, my coffee maker,(A MUST HAVE for me) , battery charger for the winch and it's power unit ect.. Feedback appreciated!

Dave&Bob, I bought a couple of "air matresses" at the Big Lots store the other day. 20.00 bucks a piece!(Queen sized) They are very comfortable. I almost fell asleep in the store laying on one. The wife had to kick me to get me up. They inflate with 120 AC/60 Hertz power.(pump included) Thats why I am buying a power invertor. I cant blow that much..... They both inflated in about 2 min. 7ft.X4ft. wide 18" thick when inflated. Very comfortable!

Eddie you can't get anything less than 92 octane unleaded here in the UK.

You can get 97 at almost every petrol station and "lead replacement" 4-star" at some. :s017:

I will have to travel light (hand luggage only) to get there. There is not much time between my connection flights so I don't want to be waiting around for luggage.
So I will only be bringing clothes and will need you to get stuff for me before I arrive such as bedding if needed. Even toiletries because I will not be able to walk onto the aircraft with liquids. Although I might be able to buy them at the airport when I arrive. if I don't forget.

Dave, dont worry about the bedding, toiletries, or any other stuff. I'm ON IT!! (I'll have all that stuff for you, including Earl Grey, I like the Green Tea myself), and anything else you might need, Mens shaving kit, toothbrush, paste, soap, towels, food, ectt),,, Pat,,, Barc,(Fal308), is on the way to Denver via Interstate -70 thru Saint Louie,, he has generously offered to lend us his Camping Gear Sleeping Bags ect. So were covered. You're a big dude Pat, I may "Have" to 'give' you the air matress. Dave, 94 Octane is the highest available Octane,(Rom), Unleaded thats available only in Selected areas. A few areas only have 91 Octane as the highest. Therefore, I think it would be wise to have a drum of either Race fuel or Octane Booster. The problem is I have NEVER used a additive,(Octane Booster) that worked as advertised. All they ever did for me was to turn my plugs Orange, and ruin their performance, costing me more money and no decrease in pre-ignition or detonation. 100 Octane Will do what we need it to do. :V8:  ,

100 Octane Will do what we need it to do,when the time comes we can check prices ,cause we have 111,and above, here we have race fuel cans here too, my car wont need as much i mix a little with a tank of 92, so we can use it for your car ed

i have eddie heads 10.5:1 , i can back off the timing with the msd unit ,also remember at this altitude you can run a little more advance too!obviously it will run better with the good gas but mine will run fine on pump 92 it wont ping, it just doesnt have that zip it does with the high octane gas :s007:
