I installed the Prodigy Electronic Brake Controller today. It took all of 2 minutes. I cheated, I used a pre-assembled harness with my tow package I had the female connector already factory installed under the dash. So it was just snap, click, done. Powered up fine. mon. if there isnt a an Arctic snowstorm again, I'll get that bad boy and put it here overnight, I need to get it here to install the winch.

Red, I hope you can make it! My wife joke's, that this is first of, many annual event's. I really don't think, this could happen, year after year. But now, this is the time to do it. :D I don't think, anybody here can afford it right now but, F--K it. Let's GO!!!!! :s003:
We all have issue's, thing's to do. Life's task's. But darnit', let's do it!! With you and, Dave. I'll experience a little bit of "Britt". And, a little bit of Kuai Chain Cain, "Here's the Irish Man, Wayne"!! :D
JUST DO IT, WAYNE !!! :D
I'd go straight, to Drew's though. Eddie's Wagon, cross the"Plain's", is getting pretty full. The more, the merrier. We might have to rent that new Challenger, after all.
To Everybody: No last minute, I'm in's. Tight fund's for all of us. Tight space, too. Not trying to be snobby but, if your going to do it. DO IT NOW! We still have time to plan. :D

Possible change of plans. How about we cancel San Francisco and instead pick a place in Nevada or California with a small town like Goldfield,, we can Camp out, have a good time, drive the cars, ect,, these things wont be possible in san fran without great expense, more time which we dont have,,ect..Drew, Pat, Dave,, what do you guys think? I havent heard a peep from Bob :? (Plus the only thing I would want to visit in SF is Artie Mitchells O'Farrell Theatre. A Historic American Landmark)

I've been checking out Denver to Goldfield Nevada on Google Earth,,pretty much desert backcountry type of driving. We would have to plan accordingly if we pick that route. Fuel availability comes to mind but there should be enough small towns in between to satisfy our fueling concerns. What do you guys think??

My heart says "I would like to cross the Rockies, see California and the Pacific Ocean".

But my head says "It is too bloody far and and we don't have a lot of time"!

trust me we can replicate "kowalskis" run and you will see the sights and feel it,

we need to go to goldfield since they filmed it there, and its pretty close ,he never even made it to the coast anyway,

yea san fran is nice, but we will see alot of the rocky mountains ,and vegas is on the way if need be,besides we wont need to drive as far,if we have the time

we can do it in 2 days, i did the same run in 95, and it was nice to find a cheap hotel, or camp and get an early start the next day

,or make the run in a day , but i think it is about 15 to 18 hours depending on our speed, remember some of those passes we can only go abut 35 to 55 mph, we need to compensate for that,

i merely suggested san fran in the beginning just as a reference point, then dave said they filed it in goldfield and that seems like a better plan, just to see the place, take some pix, have a barley pop or 2

,since the movie is non fiction it doesnt really matter where go as long as we are kind of in the area(which we will be) every time i go out in those areas i think "did they film vp out here it kinda looks framiliar?" there is alot of area out there and we will be near death valley where they had to do some filming out in the desert ,since it is in the same area, this will be very cool trust me gentleman we will have fun

There will be plenty of desert for your enjoyment. :P If you make it this far out I'll take you all out to the lake. Or the ranch.

Yeah but I see lush and green rolling hills every day here in "Englands green and pleasant land".

Yes I think the trip would be more fun if there was less pressure on having to do 1K miles every day. :s017:

1K miles every day,yes if we can get maybe 600 miles under our belt ,find a place to stay the night , then the next day we will have an easier time and we can spend a little time in gold field, perhaps time to find a hooters, yes red we have a hooters in denver, but the strip joints are far better :s026:

Here's a few pics of the trailer. I just arrived back home a few minutes ago. The brakes work perfectly unloaded, but can be easily adjusted for trailer pressure when the R/T gets loaded. I want to buy some Urethane coating for the floor then eventually place brite-tread plates on the entry plank and the tire areas. There should be enough room for my car and a tools&parts. Plus I should have enough room to sleep in it overnight.

It has LED rear tailights, 4 HD D-rings but I want to mount 2 more near the front to place the car's front end more towards the front for better weight distribution.

It has a few 'courtesy' features like a door retainer, vent, 2 small ceiling lights but I need to get a couple of larger ones. A back-up battery for the brake-away activator,(Required by Fed. Law), and a smooth rear door that lowers and raises with a spring assist.
