Here is the latest info on the street cruise

We’re now less than three weeks from this terrific new, fun, free event Fri., Sat. and Sun., Oct. 24-25-26. Go to http://www.DaytonaBeachDreamCruise.com and click on the Schedule of Events button for a map and info about check-in and the following free special gatherings:

Friday night’s kickoff features a terrific “Images of the King” contest with 20 Elvis Tribute Artists at Pub 44 on Main St. in Daytona Beach overlooking the Halifax River. Everyone at this gathering will be given a printed schedule and map so you’ll know what to do Sat. & Sun. Vehicle check-in will take place Sat. only;

Saturday is the day for checking-in between 8:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. at the north-eastern area of the parking lot at the Volusia Mall. We’ll give you a keepsake dash plaque and windshield decal plus a printed schedule of events with a map so you’ll know what to do Sat. and Sun. Because you registered online by Oct. 20th, you’re entitled to a free event photo/wall plaque. We’ll stop shooting photos at 6:00 p.m. so you must check-in by then to get your free picture. At check-in, we’ll also give you the ID card you’ll need to bring with your special vehicle to the Sun. gathering;

Saturday will feature plenty to do with open houses at Raabe Racing from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Crane Cams from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. There will also be a great gathering in the huge parking lot of the Volusia Mall from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. that will include live entertainment until 6:45 p.m. followed at 7:00 p.m. by a free outdoor movie highlighting exciting racing on the beach in this area through 1958. Bring your lawn chairs. Driving along the suggested 9 mile Atlantic Ave. cruising route is recommended during the hours from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Sat. You can choose the times and distances you wish to cruise. Other special activities include a Sock Hop at Down the Hatch plus fun at the Hollywood Cantina. Car and truck clubs and impromptu groups will also be gathering around town. Cruisers, whether solo or make-oriented or with mixed-make groups, can determine desired starting points and times for cruising; and

Sunday will feature a fabulous final gathering from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at The Aquarium, a great new dining establishment with impressive décor and fun outdoor bar & deck jutting into the Halifax Harbor Marina off Beach St. This will be a super scenic place for displaying/viewing special vehicles. You’ll definitely want to be here for the significant prize drawings. Bring ID card from Sat. check-in at Volusia Mall to be eligible for prizes.

Check http://www.DaytonaBeachDreamCruise.com for more detailed information about the entire event. The web site’s Schedule of Events now includes a map that allows you to see what’s happening, when and where.
