I like the ad "not a crate motor". Are they really that bad? :s008:

I wouldnt get one. I have a 380/360 5.9 magnum but it's 10 yrs. old. and a small block. Too many horror stories on Hemis and 440's. Some have documented them on other sites. One man had a .090 gap on his piston rings on a 426 Hemi Crate he bought.$15,000 for a boat anchor!(At least until he paid another 5k to have it re-built properly.) :frown:

I agree Jimi. I think the places they had build their engines for them werent the best quality. Currently they have Ray Barton building their 426,472,528, 540 alloy hemis. The small blocks,(340/360 based), I dont know who builds them. The 392 Gen.III Hemi is being built Gary Stanton Racing and is one of the finest engine builders in the world,(He has won National championships with his plants), I dont know who builds the regular 5.7 Hemi, maybe Satillo, Mexico where all production 5.7 Hemi's are built by Chrysler.
