cooling fan removal

we are having issues removing the cooling fan and clutch right now...we've removed the four bolts but that mug still doesnt want to come off...the manual has been no help right now...are we missing something???

What is that mug? the pully? Possibly old paint glued them in place. :|

yeah the mug fan and clutch, i am just mad at it. We have been hammering away at it for a while to no avail. Gonna try a hammer and chisel...

I'd go easy with them as they are rotating parts and can come apart at RPM's. What joints are you working with exactly.

Oh no worries, Its all getting replaced after the rebuild. It was just on there something tight

Next time try soaking/spraying the parts in penetrating oil or Wintergreen Oil available at any pharmacy. :thumbsup:

I also live by PB Blaster but it had NO effect on the removal. My friend Musta used about 1/4 can.
