The Dodge Challenger Message Board

On my 71 R/T 340 without Air Cond, what color is the blower motor supposed to be? I have seen natural silver and I have seen gloss black. Which is correct? Thanks guys !!

I'm sure there are others that know for sure Dana. But I seem to remember BOTH being correct, but the majority would be black!

I Can't remember ever taking the motor out or painting it. I just masked it before refinishing the engine compartment. This is how my 70 sits after 30 some-odd years. (the wiper motor is dull, faded, original also).

Thanks Guys, Mine looks like yours Jon, a silverish color. Possibly the service replacements were black, I'm sure alot of them went bad in the 70's.
