Interesting that the clutch fans are breaking down so quik. :? Thought to do that setup for the original look. What brand(s) are you dealing with?

For what it's worth, a couple of years ago I had cooling problems also. Went out and replaced everything, radiator, heater core, (both Modine OEM style), water pump, etc.. even a new flex fan an it fixed the problem. Small block with the big radiator though.

I also had cooling problems when the clutch fan very suddenly broke during a local cruising this last summer! I totally lost faith of stock clutch type fans and got an electric fan to my stock radiator. The fan is from a Volvo V70 and works great! This spring i only have to solve my location of sensor to regulate the on/off. I still runs without automatic switch for that..

Drew, I heard the Spal electric fans pull/push more air than anything else.

Fit something with a shroud. Twin fans are better.

Ditto. I use a kit from Summit, twin 10" on an aluminum shroud.

Also get a good thermal regulator, electric fans (or mechanical fans for that matter) are virtually useless above 20mph, and vital below.
