Viscous fan clutch

Postby dave-r » 07 Aug 2006 18:28

I am trying to help some friends out with this problem.

It seems that these fan clutches come with different length necks. All the ones my friends have been able to find are too big to fit behind the radiator.

We need to locate a source for clutches that are 2 5/8" tall when measured like in the picture below. All the ones available in England seem to be over 3" tall in this dimension which is too big.

Has anyone here come across this problem? Anyone know of any sources for the shorter versions?

My friend had a look at the Mopar Performance viscous fan kit on one guy's Coronet, and it had the short hub he needs.

There was a MP kit on ebay over here so he bought it. However when it came it had the long hub PN 4095704 with it!

We could do with finding out if this hub is what they usually supply with the kit?
We are wondering if he got a rogue one and my friend does not really want to order up another one to find out!

I ordered the MP kit from Mancini Racing p/n MOPP4120758. The length is 3 in. measured as you've shown.
