Heater core - AC vs non-AC

I'm semi-restoring my '74 Rallye from a 1/4-miler back to a street/strip car. The heater core is missing (Lots of things are missing!), and I have the opportunity to get a core from an A/C equiped car. Mine does NOT have A/C, nor am I planning to add it. Are the heater cores the same for A/C and non-A/C cars, or will I need one from a non-A/C car?

I just chucked mine out a few weeks ago! It leaked anyway.

I am not sure if they are different or not. I would suspect not but perhaps someone out there knows for sure?

Doug,
Don't buy a used core, I gurantee it'll end up leaking. Call Jeff Deutschman at Deutschman Automotive at (419) 352-7894. You can get a new one from Jeff for about $50.00 + s&h. They're made here in Ohio. And for all you guys out there, Jeff is a very reasonable source for new and used parts for all Mopars.

Many thanks to all of you folks for the replies! I was watching one on Ebay, but if I can get a NEW one for $50, that's kind of a hard deal to go wrong with!

The heater core differ between non-A/C and A/C-cars (according to Paul Herd).
