Engine code

My engine block is marked with "F383HP". I know that F=1970 and HP=High Performance. Is it any difference on the block itself, if you compare a 383-block WITHOUT the HP mark and my block?

This is a stamped mark yes? This mark is made when the engine is put together. A HP block typically has heavy duty parts fitted (where available) and any higher spec cam or valve train parts (depending on application), oil pump pressure spring etc.
The actual block casting was always the same though and carries the same casting number as other 383 blocks.
