				I am buying a 71 Challenger R/T without a build sheet or a fender tag, what are the chances of finding the build sheet in the car somewhere where no one has looked? Also can I get a fender tag made to match up with the vehicles options. This R/T is a true JS23H1B car.

				Look in all of these places;
Taped to the back side / top of the glove box insert.
Under the front bucket seats in the springs
Inside the bucket seat backs
Under the rear seat bottom
In the rear seat back.
Under the package tray(speaker shelf)
Under the carpet
If you do find a legible broadcast sheet that matches the car, it is possible to have a reproduction fender tag made.

				This car has been restored in the last ten years or so, I would think they would have found one by now. I guess I'm out of luck to get a replacement tag.

				What makes you so sure it's a genuine R/T? Have you looked for the vin on the upper left cowl and on the radiator support?

				The number on the cowl and radiator support match the VIN number on dash and title. Of course anything is possible in todays world.

				I heard Galen can be hired to come in and do a verification inspection, but you have to pay big bucks.

				You don't need galen to check your numbers. Just look at the numbers on the cowl and radiator support and make sure that no serious welding is done around these areas which could indicate that the numbers were changed.
