See the rear, where the axle tube meets the center section, on the right side,(of the diff cover), there are casting numbers. The books to de-code all Chrysler casting components are available from www.gvgovier.com they are referred as Galens little white books. These will pay for themselves MANY times over ensuring you get the right castings and saving you heartache and cash! Or you can post the numbers and I will de-code them for you. Glad to do it.

I believe Danny's code should read 081 (last three numbers on the tag), Mine should be 079 both with 10" rear drums and front disc brakes, manual transmission, according to galen's casting book and Daves chart. The I.D. with the three digit numbers are located on the white strap wrapped around the axle tube located on the far left side. The first pic, the eddies shock covers the white tag.

Danny, I know you have worse problems right now, but check that white paper tag wrapped around the left side of the axle. When you get time.

the casting at the upper right side (numbers upside down) read c34155, i guess that is the casting for a 9+3/4" dana. at the bottom under that number there is a # 60 too,i am guessing that is a code fro dana 60 rear end. i do have the paper sticker wrapped around the oppisite side,it is hard to read the first few nimbers as they are a bit faded and one is being blocked by a brake line but here is what i think it reads- 8482081 or 3462081,the last 4 numbers are easy to read though and it does look like the 081 is for super track pack/4:10 gear,as that is what my car came with according to my fender tag code a34, daves code photo also confirms that it does match up.
