Do all vehicle order numbers begin with the letter Q ? If they do not, What does the letter Q represent ?

The first letter has to do with who is the dealer or where the car is going I think?

Barry or Jack will know.

Hello Dave, You could be spot on. There is a sales code of Y22. This translates to an Executive Lease car. I believe that most V.O.N's begin with a number. Perhapse my car was never sent to a dealer.

The Q usually is found on Y22, Y28 and some Y13 cars. After the Y22 cars intented "usage" was over, the cars were typically sold at a dealership as a used car.

Thanks Barry

I would love to trace the history on my car. I have talked to the used car lot owner from 1982 when I bought the car with no luck. I have tried to go through the BMV in Indiana, also with no luck. Has anybody had any luck with Chrysler?

Chrysler does not have any records for 1970, they say they were destroyed.

I have information on some 1970 Q code cars, if you have not done so yet, you should consider registering the car.

T/Ake care,
Barry
