Nope, not rare. JH29G0 - 1970 Challenger SE with 318 CID - 3,737 sold with the automatic trans.

Well.....it is a lot more rare than a normal 318 hardtop....

Rare does not always mean valuble though. Over $4,000,000 for a 71 Hemicuda convertible and yet a 4bbl 383 1970 JH23N0 Challenger is not worth much at all even though they are just as rare (only 6 made).

i thought it looked familiar its in my driveway not rare but still the only 1 in my town

84 - auto

31 - 4 speed

7 - 3 speed

The reason the 383 4bbl is so rare in the hardtop is that it was an optional extra (extra cost) on the JH but came as standard with the R/T.

Why that is not the case with the convertible I am not sure. Something to do with the convertible base price maybe??

Just goes to show.

The only SE's I have ever seen were also usually R/T's. I wondered if it being a it was more unusual (rare was maybe the wrong choice of word).

I think it came from an old (1991) Unique Cars magazine.

The R/T SE was more rare. Less than 4,000 in total. All engines and transmissions. Including overseas, Canadian etc.
