Original owners... • The Dodge Challenger Message Board

Trying to find the original owner(s) for my 71 Challenger R/T ,i know it was bought new in New York and exported to Norway in 78,BUT the question is: Can i just contact the New York DMV and get the information i need? If so, are they alloved to give the information to me? What is the best angle of approach? Mail? Letter? Telephone?
Some good adwises anyone?

You can call the DMV and ask the info but it will cost $20us
