I have a 1971 R/T Vin js23n1b435391
Does the sequense number indicate a car produced very late in the model year? Is it one of the latest R/Ts?
Does anybody have any info on my car? It was bought in New York City in 1978 and exported to Norway where it still is...
History prior to this is unknown.

Barry (AlaskanT/A) should be able to give you an idea. The number certainly looks very high which would make it quite late in the production year.

Does the car have the fender tag? The scheduled production date will be on it. The car would have been actually made sometime near (usually a few weeks later) that date.

I will try to be a bad substitute for AlaskanT/A: If you take a look at http://www.hamtramck-historical.com/found.shtml and choose "1971 Hamtramck", you will find that the following cars were made after yours. Hope it helps. (I don´t know if I am perfecly correct but I am sure that someone will correct if that is the case.... )

I have not heard of the car before, it was likely built aroud the second or third week of June and they built cars right up to the end of July at Hamtramck.

Thank Dave,Barry and Christer unfortunately i do not have the fender tag,but i hope to find it home at one of the previos owners.you see the car has been thru some very hard times in the 80s and is now being restored back to original by me.

Do you have a broadcast sheet, window sticker, or consumer information sheet for it? They would show the date as well.
