Build Sheet

Postby patrick » 23 Sep 2007 1:48

I argued with a co-worker of mine. He is painfully sure that all I have to do is type in my VIN.# and I can have a build sheet reproduced. I said ,No. He said, go to chrysler.com. and I can find it. I tried, with no avail. Question: Is there a way to get a build sheet, except for Dealer add on's, for my car. #JH23H523494 :roll: Pat

You can do that for some MoPars. There are records of the cars made.
BUT! All the records for our period cars were lost in a fire. So there is no records of our build sheets. :(

Your only chance is if Barry Washington has found a copy of your sheet somewhere. They were sometimes put in the wrong cars and sometimes previous owners have removed them to keep.

With no build sheet the only thing you know for sure is what is on the fender tag. From that you can extrapolate what a lot of the build sheet would say but not all of it.

I remember the fire thing from past correspondence. That's exactley what I thought. Barry may come through, some day. He's buisy enough with the 70 T/A's right now. Thank's Dave :wink: Talk to you soon.

I have been doing a whole lot more than T/A stuff for a while now. :nod:

All the broadcast sheets and other items I have available to claim are listed here;

http://www.hamtramck-historical.com/found.shtml

It is updated everytime something new comes in the mail.

Happy hunting,
Barry
