Intersted in a Challenger. Read Dave-r post from Sept. 04 advising not to even THINK about buying a car without either a fender tag or a broadcast sheet, GREAT advice I will follow,but I have no good source yet to help myself decode these tags.

I hope someone(with patience) can help me with this one :worry: Thank You.
? marks is where I'm not sure of the letter.

V2M CX6 C55 633 H51 M21

They can be hard to read sometimes due to paint and or rust, but here goes;

They are read from bottom to top;
Line 1;
E63- 383 four barrel
D32 - Automatic transmission
JH23N0B we covered already. :wink:

Line 2;
FC7 - Paint code for Plum Crazy Purple
H6X9 -interior code, it breaks down like this;
H - High trim grade
6 - Vinyl bucket seats
XW - Black and white interior.
000 - Upper door frame paint color, none.
C03 - Sheduled production date, December 3rd, 1969 (1970 model year)
154260 - Vehicle Order Number ( VON )

Line 3;
V2M does not compute, if it is V1W then white vinyl top.
CX6 is most like ly C16, center console with floor shift.
C55 - bucket seats.
633 is most likely G33 - Chrome drivers side mirror with remote.
H51 - Air conditioning.
M21 - Drip rail moldings.

Line 4;
?61 does not compute, so take a closer look at it.
R11 - 2 watt AM Music Master Radio
Y05 - Built for sale in the USA
26 - 26 inch wide radiator.
EN2 - End of codes, assembly line two.

Did I miss any?

T/Ake care,
Barry
