hello guys i am new to the board and also to the challenger world. as i just got a 1972 challenger and it has a automatic tranny with a column shift. Is this a rare option on the challenger because all i have everseen was a manul shift or a a floor shift auto tranny

It was not a common option and usually came with the bench seat which was only available at extra cost.
There is no breakdown that I am aware of that would tell us how many were made like that.
It is not something which adds value to your car either. However it is something that makes yours just that little bit different to the rest. Nice find.
