Numbers Matching tranny?

Dave,

I noticed in another thread you mentioned something to the effect that numbers matching trannys don't exist or apply to mopars?
At least thats what I assumed you met.

My 727 trans is sitting on the garage floor at the monent and I see it has the last 8 digets of my vin stamped on the case.

BTW, the 2800 stall goes in today!

Don't remember saying anything like that? Or maybe I said it was not that important in some cars? (if you have a rare hemi car who cares if it has a non matching trans?) and to be honest most people NEVER check the number on the trans.

Anyway. For sure you need a VIN on the trans for the car to be "numbers matching".

In fact you need the full VIN on the dashpad and door sticker as well as the last 8 digits of the VIN on the engine, trans, cowl and radiator support for the car to be truely called "Numbers Matching".

I refer you to the thread in the VIN/Options section;

Hope the new converter does what you want it to Steve. Don't forget a NEW input shaft seal before you bolt the trans up. :wink:
