Hey, I've done some of the decoding... but I've seen the wealth of info all the members have posted previously and wanted some personal help on my own tags.

Now for the sob story... for anyone with the time or inclination to read further.....
I found this car and fell in love instantly..classic case of 'gonna restore it someday' The initial price tag three years ago of 5500 was way to steep to say the least. I waited it out and returned to see it sitting just as i left it, and snuck away with it for 1200.
The cars serial numbers do not match the fender and vin tag. I believe this is a 72 rallye, I'm almost completely convinced. I've found the fender pentastar emblem wedged between the fender and cowl. To my understanding these were on the rallye challengers.
The hemi orange paint, which is original - i have sanded every square inch of the car to find no different colors. Except for the blue pieces added on to the car from a donor, which i can not find.
The fenders have the holes for the side louvers and the paint was faded where the strobe stripes used to be.
raylle dash and cluster...map light and rear window defogger
Dual exhaust cut outs and flat black rear.
rallye hood, one had the '3' still in one of the holes where the '340 4 barrel' '383' ect... goes into.
White interior, which is original..ive stripped all but the headliner and it is all white... do you think my buildsheet could be in the headliner???
Any way...hope i can get some help and that i havent rambled to much...like I have said I love this car. Its not original any more, but I would love more info on it.. Its serial number is b2135266
Thanks,
Andy
