What made me laugh was that there are 8 cases for the Lady and just one overnight bag and the golf clubs for the Gent!

The sad bit of course is the bit that says "The way things are today, maybe what you need is not the world's hottest car".

Does anyone find it interesting that the blue car on the cover is a 340 car but doesn't have the Rallye hood?

You can see it is a 340 because it has dual exhaust. All 340 cars no matter if they were Rallye's or not were suposed to get the Rallye hood.

Maybe it is. Maybe it isn't. But what you see on the brochures is not always what you got. They were always pre-production models and they were sometimes airbrushed too.

What documentation shows this to be true? The 340 was optional in either model and the J54 hood isn't shown as an option in the data book. The specs for the cars lists the hood as part of the Rallye package. The salesman's guide and data book do not show the hood being required or as coming with the 340 engine.

I'll try and find where I saw it. Where ever it was listed the J54 option and in () said standard with 340.
