I consider reproduction paperwork as forgeries and am very much against what you are trying to do. Reproduction paperwork along with replacement fender tags are responsable for most of the fake cars out there.

There should be a law against it.

My mom bought this car right off the show room floor and sold it and trhen it was resold and I found it after 6 years of looking for it. In the meantime all the orginal paperwork was destroyed in a fire. I tried the Daimler chrysler corp but no one could help. Now maybe you will understand why I am looking for this info. It all has sentimental value to me. Sorry if I offended anyone.

No offence. Just don't do it!

If the paperwork was destroyed that is part of the history of the car. You cannot turn back time.

There is a lot of money to be made from adding options to a car. It is all too easy to fake a build sheet. There are people that will make fender tags for you based on that build sheet (or if you have more money they will do it without the build sheet).

We had a Hemi car on here for sale a while back that had a lot of cool options. They were all on the tag. Trouble was it never left the factory with those options. The owner was just trying to make more money by adding rare or sought after options.

You have a fantastic car there. You don't have to make up paperwork to make it more fantastic. Don't let me put you off posting. You are very very welcome here. You just hit a sore point!

if build sheet isn't it car very unlikely you will find it. The factory doesn't have copies.

Check with a registry for your model car if if one exists. Original broadcast sheets are found in the "wrong" car all the time, maybe someone has found one for your car and taken the time to report it to a Registry. I have one original window sticker here, and several broadcast sheets waiting to be claimed for 1970 Hamtramck built cars, so you just never know.

Best of luck, and be sure and look inside the front seat backs if you have not done so already, there may be one in either side or both sides.

T/Ake care,
